Growing the passion of baseball card collecting for the next generation
Coach Andy is a Newton dad with two school-aged children. He is also a major league baseball fanatic. He has coached little league baseball in Newton for many years and has a passion for teaching students about the game of baseball and the diverse history of the sport.
Coach Andy has collected baseball cards for over 40 years and has realized what an important role baseball cards can play as an alternative to screens. Coach Andy's love of baseball card collecting was re-ignited when, after his elementary school aged son repeatedly asked, “what are those boxes in the basement?” They finally opened the boxes together, and an introduction to the joys of baseball card collecting was born in the younger generation. He enjoys sharing his passion for baseball cards with adults and kids of all ages.
